For a six-month period, the Service of Labor in Oman has issued Choice No. 452/2024, which temporarily suspends the issuance of work grants for remote nationals in specific employment. This decision is based on the regulations for commercial licenses of the Service of Labor, which are in compliance with Choice No. 180/2022, and Illustrious Declare No. 53/2023. This decision terminates the issuance of commercial permits for the contracting of remote laborers in specific occupations.

In accordance with Article 1 of this choice, the issuance of commercial licenses for the work of non-Omani laborers in private division education for the occupations listed in the addendum of this choice will be suspended for a period of six months. Nevertheless, Article 2 stipulates that work permits may be issued to distant nationals within the registered employments, provided that the request is for the establishment or exchange of services within the Sultanate of Oman.
