The Service of Labor in Oman has issued Choice No. 452/2025, briefly suspending the issuance of work grants for remote nationals in particular employment for six months. This choice is based on Illustrious Declare No. 53/2023 and the Service of Labor’s rules for commercial licenses in agreement with Choice No. 180/2022, which ends the issuance of commercial permits for contracting remote laborers in particular occupations.

According to Article 1 of this choice, the issuance of commercial licenses for the work of non-Omani laborers in private division education for the occupations recorded within the attachment of this choice will be suspended for six months. However, Article 2 stipulates that despite the arrangements of Article 1, work permits for remote nationals within the recorded employments can still be issued, given that the ask is for reestablishment or exchange of administrations inside the Sultanate of Oman.
